About Me
Hi, I'm Chas. I’m a lifestyle and custom home photographer based in Sugar Land, Texas, and serving the Greater Houston area; however, I am a traveler at heart, and I'm always eager to experience and photograph new people and places abroad. So, if you've landed on my page and are interested in a photo shoot but live across the state, or over seas, please don't hesitate to contact me - I may just wander your way!
Although my job is loads of fun and rarely feels like work, I love knowing that I'm doing something meaningful and important. I'm responsible for documenting and preserving your memories in the most natural way possible, and I take that job very seriously. It's an honor. And I mean that.
Together we'll relax, laugh, and make awesome pictures. They're all about you, so don't worry about how it's "supposed" to go. Be yourself. You can't go wrong.
I believe that my job as a photographer is to capture your story and tell it, so try not to hold back with sharing fun facts about yourself - I'm all ears.
The beauty in photography for me is about capturing a moment that moves me and then bringing energy and continuity to that moment in order to give meaning to your photo. These moments could be a gesture, an incident, a belly laugh, the light, or a graphic element. It's moments upon moments like this that bring an intimacy to my job that I absolutely love. And best of all, it provides me with the opportunity to get to know my clients and what makes them unique and awesome.
I am a wife and mother to four great kids. We have two dogs and two cats, which makes for a pretty crazy, yet fun-filled household. It's beautiful here in Sugar Land. There's the woods, ocean, beach, waterfalls and mountains, all within 1 to 3 hours from my front doorstep. As a family we love hiking/camping, road trips, and hanging with buddies. During my time alone I enjoy being with Nature, swimming, reading and writing, or planning my next trip abroad.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”— Aaron Siskind
